SVEREFO is a common forum for professionals who work with rheumatic diseases in Sweden.

§2 |
Membership in SVEREFO is currently automatic, and only available to members of the organizations listed below:
• Swedish Society of Physical Therapists, Rheumatology Section
• Society of Rheumatology Nurses in Sweden
• Swedish Society of Social Workers, Rheumatology Section
• Society of Swedish Occupational Therapists, Rheumatology Section
• Swedish Rheumatology Society
• Swedish Rheumatology-Surgery Society |

The goals of SVEREFO are:
• to promote the informal exchange of information between professionals
• to provide contact between groups who are interested in similar projects
• to promote multi-disciplinary research and development activities
• to develop financial support for multi-disciplinary projects
• to promote international cooperation |

§4 |
SVEREFO’s highest level of governance is the Annual Meeting |
|
|
§5 |
Meetings are held bi-annually in conjunction with SVEREFO’s national congress In the year between the annual meetings, a summary of the activities of the society, and a financial statement will be mailed to the members |

§6 |
Notice and agenda for the Annual Meeting shall be available to members no less than 15 days prior to the date of the meeting |
|
|
§7 |
At the Annual Meeting, the following shall be addressed:
• call to order
• election of officers for the meeting
• the annual report, and financial statement
• release of liability for board members
• proposal for the society’s activities for the coming year
• election of board members, election committee and treasurer |

§8 |
Board members, consisting of the president, vice-president, secretary/alternate, two treasurers, two information officers and two information technology officers are elected at the annual meeting It is recommended that board members serve no more than two terms |

§9 |
SVERFO’s finances shall be separate from that of the member organizations, and shall be audited annually by the internal treasurers The annual dues shall be determined at the annual meeting |

|
§10 |
SVEREFO’s fiscal year will be from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 |
|
|
§11 |
The president and treasurers are allowed to be involved in mutual business ventures |
|
|
§12 |
The board must submit an annual report. The annual report shall be made available to the president of each member organization |
|
|
§13 |
Members of SVEREFO may submit motions to the board up to 20 days prior to the annual meeting. The board shall present the motions, and render an opinion |
|
|
§14 |
Each member has voting rights (one vote/member) at the annual meeting, and other society meetings Members can request anonymous voting The president will cast the deciding vote in the event of a tie Board members and society officers may not vote to release liability for board members, or in the election of treasurers and election committee |

|
§15 |
Changes to the bylaws must duly be on the agenda for, and approved by two consecutive annual meetings |
|
|
§16 |
In the case of the dissolution of SVERFO, all assets shall be divided between the member organizations in proportion to the number of members in those societies |
